Overview
A synthetic pentadecapeptide corresponding to a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protein identified in gastric juice. Supplied lyophilized for in-vitro study of angiogenic and cytoprotective signalling.
Receptor pharmacology
Studied in vitro and in animal models for interactions with the nitric oxide system, VEGFR2 signalling and focal adhesion complex turnover. Reported to influence fibroblast migration and tubule formation in cell-based assays.
